I wanted to experiment a bit with a painterly 3D style, so I started with a simple textured base mesh, then used geonodes to spawn about 100K brush strokes (planes with a brush stroke texture for opacity + vertex color taken from the base mesh with controllable randomness and variation). The good thing about this method is that it transfers easily to Marmoset Toolbag and Sketchfab. The wireframe view is certainly terrifying, but it gets the job done lol
