Vine Generator

Roof tile generator. I made it to quickly place roof tiles following the desired shape. After that I gave it a manual tweaking pass to get rid of any issues and give it a more personal touch.

Layered materials. I used the trimsheet material as the base layer, and another duplicate with adjusted color and roughness to mimick painted wood. Vertex paint + Height blend for the peeling paint effect.

Magic portal VFX. Using a scrolling texture, and the 2nd UV channel as an opacity gradient.
The shader is quickly prototyped in Blender, then remade in Unreal.

Potion bottle material. It uses 3 noise layers with individually adjustable scrolling speed, color, distortion map strength, and distortion map scrolling speed.

Random potion bottle maker. It uses world position to pick from different models and assign a random material from the given list

A showcase of the Terrain material with vertex paint and the material adjustments the shader supports. The bottom layer is dirt, the main is grass, and the top is leaves.

Extra example demonstrating the height blending. The main layer is the stonewall, and the top layer is a generic plaster material. Parallax occlusion mapping is also shown.

Some of the materials I created.

RGB masking workflow using 3 layers : The wood trimsheet, the same wooden trimsheet but adjusted to look painted, and a dirt layer.
This is a good balance between the speed of trimsheets and quality of hero props.

Recognitions and team shoutouts

This is our submission for Beyond Extent's team challenge, we won first place!
This Challenge had 16 teams, 5 people per team, and 5 weeks to produce an environment artwork in Unreal Engine about the theme "Witches Den".
This time I was in charge of materials, lighting, and tech art. I did provide some assistance with materials.

Thanks to the other team members, who all did an outstanding job.
